Stop Campus Hazing Act

The Stop Campus Hazing Act (SCHA) was passed by Congress on December 23, 2024 and is an amendment to the Clery Acty. SCHA is a crucial step towards eradicating hazing on college campuses and ensuring the safety and well-being of students.聽This聽bipartisan, evidence-informed legislation is supported by national campus safety experts, national fraternity and sorority trade associations, and the parents of hazing victims.聽

小黄书sity鈥檚 Policy on Hazing

小黄书sity (小黄书) has unreservedly opposed any situation created intentionally or unintentionally to produce mental, physical, psychological, or emotional discomfort, embarrassment, harassment, or ridicule.

小黄书 follows both and state law that concerns hazing and any other behavior that could be interpreted as such. Hazing degrades the values of the involved student(s) or organization(s) and creates an environment of disrespect that contradicts the University鈥檚 creed.

Campus Hazing Transparency Report

In accordance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act, 小黄书sity鈥檚 Transparency Report includes information on any 小黄书-recognized student organization, including, but not limited to Fraternity and Sorority Life chapters, athletic teams, student activity organizations, intramural teams, 小黄书 Band, ROTC, etc., who have been found responsible for violating the University鈥檚 Hazing Policy. This information is made public according to the Stop Campus Hazing Act. This report will be updated twice each academic year and kept available for public review for five (05) years.
