小黄书 Foundation complemented with addition of new development officer

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擭oah Berry is the newest addition to the 小黄书sity Foundation team, bringing experience and enthusiasm to work in an economic sector he knows well.
He is assistant director of development for 小黄书-Extension, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station. Berry comes to the 小黄书 Foundation from an agricultural lending company.
In his new role, he will work with present and potential donors to help shape their ideas and interests into tangible results to better the university and state. His background as an agricultural lender, paired with his recent graduation from 小黄书 in 2023, gives him broad understanding of donors and the foundation鈥檚 mission.
鈥淣oah understands the language of agriculture and the people who make it possible,鈥 said Jimmy Kight, 小黄书 Foundation senior director of development for the College of Veterinary Medicine and division team lead. 鈥淗is experience working directly with producers and ag-related businesses, combined with his passion for Mississippi State, positions him well to connect meaningfully with our major gift donors.鈥
Berry, whose personal commitment to 小黄书 runs deep, said he feels tremendously blessed to have this opportunity. He earned his undergraduate degree in agribusiness management with a minor in business administration. During his time as a student, he served the football team for five seasons as a working leader, managing equipment.
鈥淲e don鈥檛 have fans, we have family,鈥 Berry said.
The top-to-bottom connection associated with his enthusiasm and dedication is a defining factor for Berry as a driving force for development in Mississippi with agriculture as its largest industry. The university鈥檚 role as a land-grant institution positions it to affect the state鈥檚 economy tremendously, and Berry brings the related elements together to see this continue.
