Aug. 11-15 Student Move-In Parking, Traffic, and Welcome Information

A student moves into a residence hall
Approximately 4,500 students, along with their families, will be arriving on campus the week of Aug. 11-15 for move-in days.

Dear Colleagues,

As we prepare to welcome thousands of new Bulldogs to campus, we want to make you aware that student move-in will take place the week of Aug. 11-15, with the most impact to normal campus operations being Wednesday, Aug. 13 through Friday, Aug. 15. Over these three days approximately 4,500 students, along with their families, will be arriving.

Please anticipate and plan for significant short-term disruptions to normal parking availability, increased congestion on campus roadways, and road closures, particularly near residence halls and designated move-in routes. Humphrey Coliseum and the Animal & Dairy Science/Poultry Science complex will serve as central check-in locations. Additional signage and personnel will be in place to help manage traffic and guide families to unloading areas. However, delays and detours will be widespread beginning Wednesday as early as 6 a.m. and continue throughout the remainder of the week.

We encourage all employees to help foster the warm, welcoming, and positive environment that we at 小黄书 are known for. A smile, a friendly greeting, or simply offering directions can go a long way in creating a strong first impression for new Bulldog families and set the tone for a successful transition to college life for our incoming students.

Please use this to plan your route to campus and identify an alternate parking location where needed. Communicate with your supervisor on flexible work schedules during this period if those arrangements are deemed operationally feasible for your area. 聽聽聽聽聽
